Critical Reflection

                                     Hello! This is my last post and the critical reflection for my blog. I learned a lot from it. I learned how to be more social and open it and it was great. Throughout the tiring work I can't help but feel as though I'll miss media studies. Thank you so much to everyone who helped me and you reading this post. Bye-bye, perhaps we'll meet again someday...

Champion Final Product

 

This is the final product Champion. I'd like to thank everyone who helped me and  my team make this final movie. For now, please enjoy the show.

Fina Movie: Changes

                                                      So our team, after the feedback, changed the movie a lot. For one the scene outside is gone and replaced with more fighting. Secondly the hallway scene with the fighting is way longer. "Terry" was renamed to "Terra" and was made into a girl. Ben Douglas became African American. Lastly the logo, and music changed in the gym scene and opening credits.

First Draft: Feedback

                                                           I showed my peers the first draft and the movie and they had some things to say about it. Number 1, the scene on the bench was bad which I admittedly agreed with. They also wanted to see more fights because it's a boxing movie and for a boxing movie it has like 2 seconds of fighting. The film logo was also bad according to them, it looked more like a horror film than a boxing one. Lastly it was too dramatic, there was dramatic music and sad dialogue which was seen as overly dramatic and annoying as opposed to it being effective. My team and I will take note for the 2nd draft of the film.

Champion First Draft

                   The wait is over the Champion is finally here. This was a lot but it was nice working with friends to make this movie. I cannot thank the people who worked with me on this movie enough, they gave me the drive and the assistance needed to make this happen. Anyways, without further ado this is Champion. Enjoy the show.

Post-Production: Sound editing

                                                        To be completely blunt, I was gonna use videogame music. Specifically from the Final Fantasy series. However, Lavelle used free to use music which in my opinion had better choices, hence why we picked his version instead of mine.

Post-Production: Visual Editing Decisions

                                     Lavelle W and I were the editors but we made 2 versions. For the visuals, I added in the text as a different screen and Lavelle W made his on screen. As well, the production logo and opening credits were in a normal font in Lavelle's version. We both made the flashback scenes black and white. We ended up with Lavelle's version because mine admittedly looked like a trailer.

Production: Day 2 Filming Behind the scenes

                                                        Today was a lot of the filming. We started off in the morning where Hugues P filmed the hallway scene with Lavelle W, Luca M, and Trent. After that in the afternoon we filmed the flashback scenes where I filmed Hugues P and Lavelle W. Lastly, we filmed the last scene where Hugues P filmed Lavelle W and I.

Production: Day 1 filming behind the scenes

                                                     Lavelle W and I were the 2 people who had to film in the gym today. I used my tripod since there was no cameraman and I forgot the one prop we were using, a snicker's bar, however thankfully we decided to cut the second half of the gym scene where the prop was used. Other than that it was a successful day with no big issues at Crunch Fitness where we filmed.

                                          Lavelle W will play the lead role, Travis Johnson. Hugues P will play Travis' brother Joseph Johnson. Luca M will play the lead antagonist in Ben Douglas. Trent will play Terry in the hallway scene. And I'll play the trainer Mac Louis.
