Preliminary Exercise 15: Planning, Filming, Recording and Editing Sound in Film in a Shot.

Intro:    In this exercise my team and I made an 8 second video showcasing sound and how it can enhance a video. We used music, text, and a voiceover to do it, also making for a good start to editing which will be extremely important for future projects. In the video L(who is on the right) asks Jaiden(who is on the left) what he's doing this weekend. It was quite easy to make, being about 8 seconds long and it should show a good showcase on why sounds and other effects are important in film.

Reflection: Hopefully in this assignment we have shown how sound can impact something in a movie. Try to imagine the video without the music, it'd be kind of boring, right? In this assignment we had to decide on a music choice, happy to say that the choice of background music was my idea. We also had to plan this scenario which was pretty much unanimous. Then we just recorded it and after a few takes we got it down. It wasn't too hard but this was an important one, it was a good first step into the world of editing videos which we will have to do for the movie. I learned that sound can make a big difference as I watch the pre-edit, and post-edit videos back-to-back.
